NYC GRAD FAQ
How do I book?
All NYC Spring 2026 grads can receive booking links by filling out the interest form linked on the bottom of the NYC Grad Packages page as well as in my Instagram Bio.
What is required to book?
It's important to note that a 50% retainer is required when booking. Your session is not confirmed until the retainer is paid and the contract is signed.
Do you travel outside of NYC?
Yes! Depending on my schedule, I can make short trips outside of the city. Anywhere outside of the five boroughs will include a travel fee.
When do you recommend getting my graduation pictures done?
I will be in NYC starting in Mid-April for graduation sessions. I recommend booking ASAP to ensure you get the most out of your experience. The morning sun is brighter, whereas the evening sun is warmer. Please keep my turnaround time in mind when booking!
Do you have a cap + gown I can use for my graduation pictures?
I only have solid black graduation caps available for use upon request. Please bring all of your regalia with you on the day of your session. If you don't have it yet, you can also borrow from a previous grad!
Can I do an outfit change?
Of course! Just make sure to note that each outfit change will be included in your timed session.
Do you help with posing?
Yes! I have photographed over 1000 graduates and have learned many different poses along the way. If you have specific ones in mind, please bring them along. However, this is not required and I will guide you the whole time.
Do I choose the photos I want edited?
Yes! You will receive all of your unedited pictures to choose which you would like edited. Please note, the unedited photos will be watermarked.
Do i get the unedited photos?
You will receive all of the unedited photos with a watermark for the purpose of selecting which ones you would like edited. The delivery of unedited and unwatermarked images is available for $100 for individual sessions and $75 per graduate for group sessions.
Can my friends and family be in my photos?
Family and friends are included free of charge; however, please note, friends may not be in regalia unless they are also a client of mine. If you would like pictures with other graduates in regalia, please consider booking a group session.
Additionally, please ensure your guests understand that there is always a possibility we may need to reschedule for weather (important for those who plan to have people travel to town for this).
What is the turnaround time?
I do not guarantee a turnaround time during my busy season; however, it's typically about three weeks from when you selected your images.
Do you do any touch ups?
Yes! Any blemishes, scarring, bruises, scrapes, etc. are included in editing for you only. However, I will never touch any of these things unless you ask.
Additionally, I do not make any edits to alter your body's natural shape or appearance.
The removal of people in the background, distracting objects and fly away hair in close up images is also included when possible.
Do you offer rushed processing?
Rushed processing can be purchased for $75 for individual sessions, which means you would get your photos in 2-3 days after choosing the ones you want edited. Rushed processing for group sessions is $50 per graduate and each person must purchase this as your gallery gets edited all together. Gallery will be delivered 3-4 days after selection and payment for groups.
Please note, rushed processing is not always available if I have lots of sessions in the queue or we are close to graduation.
What happens if it rains?
If it happens to be raining on the day of your shoot, we will reschedule for a time that works best for the both of us. You will receive your deposit back in full if it rains and we cannot reschedule.
For the safety and well being of myself and you, I do not shoot in rain, thunder or lightning.
If it's gloomy, you will also have the option to reschedule.
Can I bring a pet?
I would love for you to bring your pet! You must also bring water, doggie bags and someone to watch them while we work. Your furry friend is also required to be on a leash or held the entire time for their own safety!
What if my campus is closed on the day of our session?
Please keep your school's schedule in mind when booking. I do not know each school's event schedule. If your school or location happens to be closed on the day of our session, we will find a nearby location to shoot at unless we knew ahead of time and could reschedule. This is especially important around graduation season!
Is there anything specific I should think about when booking my session?
There are many things to consider when booking your graduation session. You should think about your preferred weather, what date you graduate, if you're sending announcements, etc. As for lighting, my typical rule of thumb is that the morning sun is brighter, whereas the evening sun is warmer. I only shoot as the sun rises and as it sets for the best light.
Please note, I only shoot at Fordham Rose Hill in the mornings due to how the sun rises on campus, and I only shoot at Washington Square Park on weekday mornings due to crowds.
What forms of payment can I use?
You will receive an invoice with options to pay via debit/credit, Zelle or Venmo. Cash is also accepted for the remaining payment.
